Solar Village Rema
Rema is located in the Northern part of Ethiopia. 230KM far from the capital City Addis Ababa. Over 2200 House Holds received Solar Home Systems in a sustainable approach. Users have to save small amount of money for future spare part replacements. Solar Pump installed at three spots for community water supply. No more long-distance travel to fetch water. Solar Street lights installed at serious spots and more.
Lighting Student Homes
This project is designed to solve rural student’s serious problems. Students of rural areas mostly drop out from school. They have to travel long distances from and to school. No chance for then to study does their assignments. Such problems didn’t give them a chance to be competitive with urban students. After sunset no activities in rural areas as they don’t have light. Their main light sources are Kerosene and fire wood. Which is bad for health and poor brightness. Over 2000 students received solar lanterns to use it in the evening at their home. These students are now benefiting from the light and continued their studies.
